Golf Cart Dimensions & Weight: Length, Width & Height

Short answer: going by the makers’ own spec sheets for the carts we sell, a two-seat golf cart is 91.5 to 96 inches long (about 7.5 to 8 feet), a four-seater 108 to 120 inches and a six-seater 134 to 153.5 inches. Most are 45 to 56 inches wide and 68.5 to 84.4 inches tall. They weigh from 651 lb (E-Z-GO RXV 2, Freedom trim, lithium) to 1,915 lb (Club Car CRU), and in the same model a lead-acid battery pack adds roughly 147 to 527 lb over lithium.

How long is a golf cart?

Length follows the seats. The two-seaters in the table run 91.5 to 96 inches (7 ft 7.5 in to 8 ft 0 in), four-seaters 108 to 120 inches and six-seaters 134 to 153.5 inches, roughly 11 to 13 feet. The eight-seat Club Car Villager 8 has a 131.5-inch wheelbase, but Club Car does not publish its overall length. A forward-facing four-seater is longer than a 2+2 with a flip rear seat: the Club Car Onward 4 Forward is 120 inches against 108 for the Onward 4 Passenger.

How wide is a golf cart?

About four feet. Apart from the Club Car CRU, the carts here measure 45 to 56 inches across, and the makers measure differently: Evolution gives its D5 Maverick width (55.8 inches) at the mirrors, and the Club Car CRU is 69.5 inches with its mirrors out and 65 with them folded. Lifted builds are a little wider: the Club Car Onward 4 goes from 48.75 to 49.5 inches when lifted. Leave room to open the doors of the car parked next to it, and measure gates and side yards at their narrowest point.

How tall is a golf cart?

68.5 to 84.4 inches overall, which is 5 ft 8.5 in to 7 ft 0.4 in. Club Car, E-Z-GO and Yamaha measure it with the roof on; ICON, Kandi, Epic and Evolution give a single overall height without saying. Lifted and off-road builds are the tall ones: the lifted Club Car Onward 4 is 80.5 inches against 71 for the standard car, and the Evolution D5 Maverick 6 Plus reaches 84.4. Measure the lowest point of your garage door opening, not the door itself, and check it against the height on the spec sheet.

How much does a golf cart weigh?

Between about 651 and 1,915 lb across the models here, and the battery is the biggest single factor. In the same model and build, the lead-acid version weighs 147 to 527 lb more than the lithium one (Club Car Onward 2 Passenger: lead-acid 975 lb, lithium 665-727 lb; Club Car Onward 4 Passenger: lead-acid 1,070 lb, lithium 794-797 lb; Club Car Onward 4 Passenger, lifted: lead-acid 1,125 lb, lithium 891-978 lb; Club Car Onward 6 Passenger: lead-acid 1,293 lb, lithium 1,005 lb). Gas versus lithium depends on the model: the Club Car Onward 4 Passenger is 795 lb with gas and 794 to 797 lb with lithium, while the Villager 8 is 1,270 lb with gas against 1,003 lb with lithium.

Makers do not all mean the same thing by weight. Club Car (as curb or total vehicle weight), E-Z-GO, Yamaha, Evolution and Epic publish a curb weight, which includes the batteries; Kandi publishes dry weight; ICON’s sheets say only “weight”, without the battery option. E-Z-GO gives both, and the gap is the battery pack: the RXV 2 Valor S electric is 669 lb dry and 969 lb curb. Add your passengers and cargo on top; most of the spec sheets linked in the table also give the maker’s load capacity.

How much does an electric golf cart weigh?

On the curb weights in the table, from 651 lb (E-Z-GO RXV 2, Freedom trim) to 1,915 lb (Club Car CRU). Lithium versions sit at the light end and lead-acid versions at the heavy end of each model’s range.

How much does a gas golf cart weigh?

From 675 lb (Club Car Onward 2 Passenger) to 1,270 lb (Club Car Villager 8) on the makers’ curb weights. In every model here offered both ways, the gas version is lighter than the lead-acid electric one.

Will a golf cart fit in a truck bed, on a trailer or in a garage?

Check three numbers against the cart’s. For a pickup, the bed’s inside length with the tailgate in the position you will haul it, the width between the wheel wells, and the truck’s payload rating against the cart’s curb weight; even the shortest cart here is 91.5 inches (7 ft 7.5 in) long. For a trailer, the deck length and width and the trailer’s rated capacity, again against curb weight. For a garage or storage unit, the door opening height against the topped height above. Golf cart dimensions and weight by model

Figures are the manufacturer’s, as published on the linked page on October 5, 2026. Where a maker lists several builds, the table shows the range and the weight for each powertrain. E-Z-GO now sells Valor and Freedom as trims of the RXV 2, RXV 4 and Express 6, so the table uses E-Z-GO’s current names; our E-Z-GO Freedom RXV listing covers the Freedom trims. We left out E-Z-GO’s RXV 4 Freedom gas figures, which show a 94.5-inch length against 114.7 for every other RXV 4, until E-Z-GO corrects or confirms them. Each linked product page carries that cart’s current price and stock status, and for a new cart the maker’s warranty term; our returns page sets out the 30-day policy. That keeps this table about size and weight.

Which carts have no published dimensions?

Denago lists motor, battery and range for the Nomad XL, Rover XL and Rover XXL but no dimensions or weight. Club Car does not publish the overall length, width or height of the Villager 6 and 8. Evolution’s Classic and Forester sell sheets print an unlabelled dimensions line without saying which figure is which, so we have not quoted it, and no weights. We could not read Advanced EV’s spec pages, and the pre-owned carts we list were built in earlier model years whose figures may differ from today’s. For any of these, ask us and we will get the figures for the exact cart in writing before you order.
