Questions, answered

The things people ask before they buy, answered plainly. Where the honest answer is “it depends on where you live”, we say that rather than guessing for you.

Choosing a cart

How many seats do I actually need?
Buy for the load you carry most weeks, not the one holiday weekend. A four-seat cart with a flip rear seat covers most households; a six-seat cart is a genuinely longer vehicle and needs more room to turn and to store.
What is the difference between a golf cart and an LSV?
A low-speed vehicle is a road-legal classification with equipment requirements and a higher governed speed. We list the equipment fitted to every cart. Whether that makes it road-legal where you live is a question for your local authority, not for us.
Can I add a lift kit later?
Usually, but it changes ride, stability and often the warranty position on suspension components. If you know you want larger tires and clearance, it is cheaper and safer to buy a model built that way.

Performance and range

How accurate are the range figures?
They are the manufacturer figure for the cart as specified. Real range depends on load, terrain, tire pressure, temperature and how hard you drive. Treat the number as a ceiling in good conditions, not a guarantee.
Lithium or lead-acid?
Lithium is lighter, charges faster, holds voltage under load and needs no watering, at a higher purchase price. Lead-acid is cheaper up front and needs routine maintenance. Over a typical ownership period lithium usually wins on cost per mile; over two years it may not.
What actually sets top speed?
The controller and motor pairing, and the governed limit set at the factory. Where a figure is a range, the cart offers more than one mode. We publish the figure the manufacturer states and nothing beyond it.

Buying, shipping and returns

How is freight calculated?
Freight is a flat $250 to any address we ship to, shown in the total before you pay. Carts move on a lift-gate trailer with a scheduled delivery appointment.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery is 7 to 10 business days from order, anywhere we ship. That window covers preparing the cart and the freight transit, not one on top of the other. The freight desk calls to book the appointment before the truck is dispatched.
What if the cart arrives damaged?
Note the damage on the delivery paperwork before the driver leaves and photograph it. Contact us as soon as possible — the carrier sets a reporting deadline, so tell us the same day — and we will handle the carrier claim. Signing a clean receipt for a damaged cart makes a claim much harder.
Can I return a cart?
Within 30 days, unregistered and in original condition, subject to return freight and no restocking fee. Full terms are on the returns policy page.

Ownership

What does the warranty cover?
Coverage periods differ by manufacturer and by component; the warranty page lists the terms each maker publishes, and we confirm the term on your cart in writing before you order. Parts, labor and freight are treated separately; the warranty page sets out which applies.
Do I need to register the cart?
Registration for warranty purposes is included and handled against your order. Vehicle registration with an authority, where it applies at all, is separate and local.
How should I charge a lithium cart?
Use the supplied charger, avoid sitting at a very low state of charge for long periods, and if the cart is stored for a season follow the manufacturer storage charge level. Lithium does not need the monthly top-up routine lead-acid does.
